at the system behind it. What actually improves the garment? And what simply
increases perception?

At Damoiselle, every piece is designed with intention.
Fabric, construction, finish — each decision has a purpose. If it doesn’t
improve how the garment feels, fits, or moves, it doesn’t stay.

We don’t believe luxury should rely on excess.

Founder's Note

Hi, I’m Pravita Singh.

I grew up in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, and now live in
Nashik, Maharashtra. I come from an engineering background, having studied at
VIT Vellore and IIT Delhi — and I’m also a mother to two beautiful daughters.

Engineering taught me to think in systems — to question how
things are built, not just how they look.

When I looked at fashion through that lens, I realised
something:

I saw layers that didn’t necessarily improve the garment.
Marketing noise. Decorative overload. Stories that added perception, not value.

That didn’t sit right with me.

So I started Damoiselle with a simple principle:

If it doesn’t make the garment better, it doesn’t belong.

We focus on what truly matters — how it feels on the body,
how it moves, how it holds over time. Not just how it looks in a moment.

We’re still building. Still refining. Still learning.

But every step is intentional.

This is my way of reworking luxury —

not by adding more, but by removing what’s unnecessary.
